With Helping Hands . . .

It is our duty to help those people in need... It is our pledge to save… 


Being part of the world of uniformed personnel, the Bureau of Fire Protection ensures each of their personnel is well trained and skilled in their field in order to save lives and properties.It was 18 May 2014 when a tragic incident occurred in Calinan, Davao City. At around 1739H of that day, when a reckless truck driver smashed into vehicles in McArthur Highway, Calinan, Davao City resulting to multiple-vehicular accident where 14 vehicles damaged and 11 civilian were injured including a Pastor.

Accordingly, personnel of this station namely, SFO1 Ruel N Ramos and FO2 Joel C Mamburam, rushed to the scene upon received of cellular phone call from a certain Pastora Flor Subio of Foursquare Gospel Church of Ula that there is a vehicular accident located at Davao-Bukidnon Road, near NCCC Calinan Branch involving her husband.

Immediately, the two responders conducted rescue and first-aid operation (as shown on the image above).  One of the victims they rescued was a certain Pastor Ronald Subio, a resident of Barangay UlaTugbok District, Davao City. The victim was extracted from the slightly smashed  driver’s seat of his vehicle and was then transported to Isaac T. Robillo Memorial Hospital for medical treatment, accompanied by SFO1 Ruel N Ramos. After which, personnel of Calinan Fire Station headed by Group 2 Unit Commander, SFO2 Romeo B Polison, proceeded to the said incident to augment the force of the said operation.



Luckily, no one was killed during the accident. The culprit was detained at Calinan Police Station to face charges against him. As for our responders, KUDOS and continue to save life and property.  Still, God is good all the time.
